Conservera de Tarifa guarantees not only a very high quality, but also the maximum homogeneity in our canned products. And to achieve this we rely on the following principles:
- All our products are protected by the Regulatory Council of the Protected Geographical Indications Mackerel and Melva of Andalusia. This means that they are subject to the guidelines and rigorous controls of a strict regulation that regulates not only the raw material used (Scomber Japonicus or Scomber Colias for the Mackerel and Auxis Thazard or Au xis Rochei for the Melva), but also its elaboration process.
- Our canned products are elaborated in a totally handmade way and without the intervention of any chemical product. We only depend on the skill and dexterity of our workers.
- Both the peeling of the fish and its subsequent stowage in the containers is carried out completely manually, thus maintaining all its organoleptic characteristics intact.
- We always maintain a rigorous traceability control of the canned fish. The cans are subjected to the sterilization process in which, by means of a combination of pressure, time and temperature, we ensure that our canned products are free of biological contamination and that their preferential consumption is possible within the following five years.
- Our products are stamped with the Certified Quality mark granted by the Junta de Andalucía (Andalusian Regional Government).
